Discover Patterns
The Discover Patterns page is the launch pad for pattern search and discovery on Seasonalysis.com.
Members are presented with a pattern screening tool which comes pre-loaded with a variety of powerful pattern screeners.
Members can also create and save up to 25 additional custom pattern screeners. Use the Symbol Lookup field above the screener area to go directly to the Symbol Detail page.
A good pattern search strategy is to start with specific search criteria and branch out as needed.
On average, there are over 120,000 seasonal patterns available each day. As you change the screening options,
the plain-text criteria description will automatically update with the selected criteria. Tap run to fetch the results.
Screener Results
Screener results are returned in tabular format. Members can order the results by tapping
the desired column (hold SHIFT + Click to order by multiple columns).
Select the patterns that interest you and tap the ‘Add To Patterns’ button in order to save the patterns.
Individual patterns can be expanded to display inline pattern details.
Additional pattern details include a full Gain/Loss bar-graph, pattern history, and several other pertinent statistics.
Tap or hover over the pattern date to see pattern entry/exit dates.
Because not all calendar days are trading days, the pattern entry/exit dates may not
directly coincide with the pattern date and pattern length. To find out more about the entry/exit algorithms,
see our knowledge base. Tap the disclosure (arrow) button to navigate to a pattern detail page for
extensive graphs and statistics.

Symbol Details
The Symbol Details page hosts a wealth of seasonal information. The top chart displays the gain/loss as a
percentage value over the course of the calendar year. The blue series represents the current year;
the green series represents a 5 year average; and the red series averages all available data.
The bottom chart is normalized between 0% and 100% making it easy to see where the yearly highs and lows occurred.
Zoom on specific areas of the chart by selecting the desired area in the lower chart.
Zooming in a specific area will
also show the highest rated patterns for the selected period in the seasonal patterns table below as well as highlight
the best seasonal patterns available for the time frame. You can toggle chart series on/off by tapping the series
legend labels. Tap or hover over a chart series at a specific point in time to display the gain/loss value.
You can switch to a 5 year average chart by changing the chart type and use the toggle arrows to navigate
through the symbols history.
The inline bar graph below the main chart represents all the patterns that are currently in progress. Green bars signify positive patterns and red bars signify negative patterns. This view is very useful as it shows you what the overall seasonal trend is like at any given point in time.
Below the chart you'll find a table listing the number of seasonal patterns available for each day set
and a tabbed table showing all available seasonal patterns for +/- 3 months from the current date.
Next we have the monthly summary table which displays the vital seasonal statistics related to each
calendar month. Last we have the monthly statistics that shows average gain/loss percentage for every month of available data.
Seasonalysis.com's extensive symbol charting tools and statistics
allow you to easily identify areas of seasonal bias.

Patterns Details
Every seasonal pattern has a Pattern Details page with extensive
pattern statistics.
Prominently displayed at the top of the page is a pattern history graph displaying
year-over-year pattern gain/loss information. The highlighted portion of this graph represents the historical data
used to compute the pattern. Tap or hover over each bar to display the gain/loss percentage for that year.
The above table summarizes the pattern statistics.
Pattern Performance (Short)
If the seasonal pattern is in progress or completed, the Pattern Performance
section will be available. The pattern performance section shows detailed entry/exit information as well
as gain/loss information and a price graph showing the pattern period as well as the average historical move.
Pattern History
Seasonal patterns on Seasonalysis.com are fully transparent:
The pattern history table displays the raw data used to compute the pattern,
including entry and exit dates, dividends and prices for each of pattern history. There is even a sparkline
to show you the security's price movement during the applicable time period.
To find out more about the entry/exit algorithms,
see our knowledge base.

Saved Patterns
Seasonalysis.com allows you to save up to 5,000 seasonal patterns which can be viewed
on the Saved Patterns page. By default you are able to view all your saved patterns at once; however, to help make pattern
navigation and organization easier, you can optionally apply the same pattern screeners available in the Discover Patterns page.
Your saved seasonal patterns are conveniently organized into three tabbed categories:
1. All Patterns. The first tab, interactions in this tab
are identifcal to those in the Discover Patterns page. Members can change pattern order by column
as well as narrow down their search to a specific symbol or value using the search field
(TIP: Shift + Click additional columns for multi-column sorting!). Use the action buttons to add or remove
checked patterns from the Saved Patterns and Email Updates pages.
Patterns that have been added to your Email Updates are marked by an 'eye' icon.
2. Patterns In Progress. This tab has a slightly different layout.
The inline historical gain/loss bar graph is replaced with a gain/loss sparkline which tracks the seasonal pattern progress for the current year.
Hovering your mouse over or tapping the gain/loss graph will show the current high/low percentages.
3. Completed Patterns. This tab provides an invaluable retrospective.
Use the Completed Patterns tab to determine which patterns succeeded or failed which can help you craft better
seasonal strategies going forward.

Email Alerts
The Email Alerts page is another great way to keep track of patterns your interested in.
You can receive email alerts for up to 500 seasonal patterns. Completed patterns are automatically removed
from email alerts. You can specify the number of days in
advance they wish to be notified or turn off all email alerts altogether.
This Patterns in Progress table displays all patterns which are in progress or
are still within two weeks of completion. This provides you with an easy way to track the patterns that you’ve flagged
to receive email alerts for.
